On Jan 31, 2013 Samsung Electronics revealed the new Galaxy Xcover 2, stating it to be the “ideal Smartphone for active explorers who enjoy outdoor lifestyles and want a durable mobile device with essential Smartphone capabilities”. The phone is designed for rough rugged outdoor conditions perfect for action sports lovers and active explorers, as its able to tolerate the most harsh conditions. It will be strong and durable, reports also suggest it to be sand proof and water resistant (making it great for people who enjoy water sports).
Customers can expect a powerful performance Smartphone with 1GHz dual core processor, it will run on the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), more features include a 100.8mm (4″) WVGA (480 x 800) TFT display, a 5-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash which will be amazing at taking pictures underwater, a front facing VGA camera. It will have GPS, 4GB User memory + 1GB (RAM) microSD (up to 32GB) and a Standard battery, Li-ion 1700mAh. The Galaxy Xcover 2 will be available to purchase in the UK by March.
